Do misaligned teeth affect your self-confidence? Do you wish for a way to improve your smile without unsightly metal braces? Dr. Polley has the answer. Invisalign® clear braces will gradually straighten your teeth while allowing you to maintain your sophisticated, professional image. Invisalign is a comfortable treatment that can straighten your teeth without diet restrictions or special cleaning instructions.
Not everyone is a candidate for Invisalign. The only way to know for sure if you are a candidate is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Polley. Please call (702) 873-0324 or email Summerlin dentist, Dr. James B. Polley for an appointment.
Benefits of Invisalign
Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign clear braces are completely invisible, removable, and treatment can be completed in as little as a few weeks for minor cosmetic problems using Invisalign Express. Usually, treatment time is comparable to treatment with traditional braces.
This comfortable and convenient technology doesn’t cause dental scarring or mouth lesions that often result from wire and bracket braces. Because you can take them out for cleanings or special occasions, Invisalign aligners allow more control over your oral hygiene and flexibility in your treatment process. They’re perfect for discerning adults. And with Invisalign Teen, teenagers can take advantage of this comfortable and convenient treatment. Removable aligners mean less risk of injuries when participating in sports, and of course their near invisibility makes them perfect for the high-pressure social life of high school.
Invisalign can be used as a standalone treatment or as part of a smile makeover.
How Invisalign Works
Invisalign can correct a variety of orthodontic problems, including:
- Widely spaced teeth
Here’s how it works. First, you and Dr. Polley will discuss your expectations and goals. We will take impressions, X-rays, and photographs of your teeth, then send them to Align Technology. Experts at Align Technology create a 3-D model of your teeth and craft a set of custom aligners that will gradually move your teeth into their desired position.
We will fit the first aligner. It will feel tight, and you may initially feel some discomfort. You will wear this aligner for two weeks before going to the next one. Wear the aligner for 20-22 hours to ensure treatment progresses on schedule. Every few months you will come into our office for an assessment of your progress and new aligners.
