What’s the difference between full and partial dentures? Partial dentures, often referred to as partials, consist of several teeth on a gum colored base. A custom partial fits with existing teeth to complete a smile. Partials are secured with clips or brackets and can be removed for cleaning. Full dentures replace a complete row of upper or lower teeth and have to be secured with adhesive, dental implants, or mini dental implants.
