Dr. Polley is passionate about dentistry. The state of Nevada only requires 12 hours of continuing education annually, but Dr. Polley routinely attends over 100 hours every year. He believes that commitment to his patients and his profession requires education and training far beyond the basics of general dentistry. As a participant in programs such as the renowned Kois Center for Advanced Dental Learning, Dr. Polley stays on the forefront of dental research to ensure exceptional and predictable dental care for his patients. I would like my front teeth to look better. Are porcelain veneers the only option?
To correct unsightly front teeth, you can also consider cosmetic recontouring and conservative composite bonding. Recontouring involves the removal of minimal enamel in just the right places to open up and reshape the crowded, overlapped surfaces of adjacent teeth. Once the doctor reshapes the teeth, we can add tooth-colored composite material to provide a more aesthetic shape, if needed. With this procedure, patients can accomplish straighter, more attractive smiles in just one visit.
For complex cases that involve severe crowding, staining, chips, or damage, we recommend porcelain crowns, veneers, or a combination of both. Dental porcelain, a reinforced ceramic material, can restore teeth aesthetically, functionally, and with tremendous durability.
Can you use imaging software to show me what my smile can look like before I commit to treatment?
Our patients get excited because we can digitally enhance their photo to reflect the expected outcome of a proposed dental procedure. They can show family and friends the changes they are considering before making a commitment. This technology basically shows patients their potential future so that they can make wise decisions.
I have dental insurance benefits from my employer. Do you accept my insurance plan?
We submit dental claims for hundreds of patients with as many different dental plans. If your plan requires a dental claim form (open panel plan) to request benefit payment, you can receive services from any dentist you choose, and dental benefits will be paid on your behalf. Benefits vary based upon the plan, employer, and insurance provider. We can explain your benefits if you bring your policy in or call us.

What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?
Dr. Polley and our staff consider patient safety top priority. Each room is cleaned between patients, and we carry out meticulous sterilization procedures. To learn more, ask to visit our state-of-the-art sterilization center. We also:
- Use gloves, masks, and glasses during treatment.
- Sterilize and disinfect all instruments and counters.
- Test our sterilizer weekly to make sure it meets hospital standards.
I have tried several different whitening methods, but they made my teeth hurt, so I quit early and had poor results. Do you have other options?
The teeth whitening system that we use has proven successful for sensitive teeth, as well as dark, hard-to-whiten teeth. It combines in-office and at-home treatments, but it does not feature one-hour whitening or confusing take-home kits. Our system is not marketed by large dental companies. It was created by a dentist whose patients didn’t have success with any other methods. For your comfort and convenience, we offer a wide range of financial options, and we welcome suggestions or questions. We accept cash, check, credit cards, and CapitalOne Healthcare Finance for third-party financing. With a pre-payment in full prior to the first treatment visit, we offer a bookkeeping courtesy discount of five percent if you pay by cash or check. You will receive a three-percent courtesy for credit card payments. We work hard to make excellent dentistry affordable.
